CA Ranked Wrestlers Update

With most of Buchanan, Poway, and Gilroy in action, we had a few of the nationally ranked wrestlers from CA competing this weekend.

Here’s a look at how they did.

Of course most of these events don’t involve other nationally ranked wrestlers, so only their tournament finish is listed. There were 2 matches over the weekend that did have national implications. Collin Guffey met Leo Contino in the LCC Finals. Angelo Posada faced David Alonso in the Eastvale Finals.

In the case of Guffey and Contino that was a top 10 match up, though currently ranked at different weights. For Posada and Alonso, Posada is on the brink of the top 10 while Alonso is in the next group of 25 where a win over Posada likely would have moved him in.

I included the full list of current nationally ranked wrestlers from CA. If you know a result for someone that I missed, let me know, I’ll add it.
